History

Femmes Natales is a woman’s organization of Thibodaux begun in August, 1980, to serve the community and promote the heritage of the locale. 

The club was founded by Marcel Caillouet and Leslie Montet with organizational meetings held throughout the Spring and Summer of 1980. 

Committee members who finalized plans and goals of the new group were Beth Gros, Karen Bouterie, Laura Ellender, Sally Naquin, Eloise Toups, and Penny Tate. Beth Gros was elected to serve as the charter President.
