Each year the ladies of Femmes Natales choose a recipient to honor at their annual RUNABOUT 5K and Fun Run. This year's recipient is Heidi Boudreaux.

In keeping with tradition, we are proud and honored to host the 46th Annual Femmes Natales Runabout on Saturday, October 4, 2025. This year’s event will be held in loving memory of Mrs. Heidi Boudreaux, with all proceeds going directly to support her family.
Heidi Boudreaux, a resident of Houma, was the beloved wife of Wayne Boudreaux and mother to three beautiful children: Aidan, Ashtin, and Austin. Initially a hairdresser, Heidi followed her passion for helping others and returned to school at Nicholls State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2021. Amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, she began her career as a critical care nurse at Thibodaux Regional Health System. Her warmth, positivity, and genuine compassion made her a light in the lives of her patients and colleagues.
Just six months into her nursing career, at the age of 44, Heidi was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. She faced her illness with strength and resilience—undergoing chemotherapy, surgery, and a clinical trial at MD Anderson in Houston. After a year in remission, the cancer returned in July 2024. Heidi courageously fought on, stepping away from nursing to focus on her health and family.
Heidi was deeply honored to be named this year’s Runabout recipient. Though she passed away on May 9, 2025, after a brave and unwavering battle, her legacy of kindness, strength, and love lives on. This year’s Runabout will celebrate the incredible life she lived and help alleviate the financial burden her family continues to carry.
The ladies of Femmes Natales welcomes you to honor the legacy of Heidi Boudreaux as this year's 46th Runabout recipient.
